During our recent collaboration trip with the newly opened Airbnb, Casa Casetta Coogee, we aimed to explore all that Sydney has to offer, especially in the winter. One of the most delightful discoveries on this journey was Sella Vinoteca, a charming wine bar and restaurant nestled in the suburb of Randwick.
Our initial connection with Sella Vinoteca happened online, and after a warm conversation with Ann, we were eager to experience this hidden gem for ourselves. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Sella Vinoteca offers a suburban retreat that specializes in exquisite Sicilian cuisine paired with exceptional wines.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Fabio, the owner, whose hospitality set the tone for the evening. It was heartwarming to see the regulars popping in, each greeted with the same warmth and familiarity. This sense of community instantly made us feel at home.
One of the highlights of our visit was the impressive selection of wines. Sella Vinoteca stocks and serves a variety of wines from smaller producers throughout Italy. This focus on unique, high-quality wines resonated with us as travel planners who appreciate uncovering local treasures. In the summer, Fabio explained, they open up the front patio area. This outdoor space, complemented by a nearby playground, makes Sella Vinoteca a family-friendly destination without compromising on its serene ambiance.
