Whether you’re in the mood for adventure, wellness, or total relaxation, Koh Samui is a must-add to your Southeast Asia itinerary.
Our stay at Villa Kelapa in Bophut was nothing short of incredible. Perched high in the hills with sweeping views of the sea and lush jungle surrounds, this luxurious villa felt like our own private slice of paradise. From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by the spacious, modern design, the gorgeous infinity pool, and the peaceful, breezy vibe that made it impossible not to relax. Every corner of the villa is beautifully thought out—whether you’re lounging on the sun-soaked deck, cooking in the open-plan kitchen, or unwinding in the oversized bathtub with a view. Waking up to sunrise views over the ocean and falling asleep to the sounds of nature was pure magic. Villa Kelapa is the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe deep, and never want to leave.
Villa Kelapa is a beautifully designed 4-bedroom retreat that perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and the natural beauty of Koh Samui. Each bedroom is a sanctuary of its own, featuring plush, exceptionally comfortable beds and high-quality linens that made every night of sleep feel like a dream. The air conditioning throughout the villa was a true lifesaver—quiet, powerful, and much appreciated after days spent in the island heat. The open-plan living and kitchen area flows seamlessly into the outdoor spaces, with both indoor and outdoor dining areas that are as functional as they are stunning. We loved eating breakfast al fresco with panoramic views over the jungle and ocean, and enjoying dinner inside in the cool, breezy interior. The villa’s standout feature is its breathtaking view, visible from almost every room, including the luxurious outdoor shower. Thoughtfully appointed and impeccably maintained, Villa Kelapa felt like a private five-star resort made just for us.
The pool at Villa Kelapa is seriously next-level. It’s an infinity-edge beauty that looks out over lush jungle and straight across to the ocean—total postcard vibes. We spent hours here every day, whether it was floating around with a drink in hand, soaking up the sun on the loungers, or just cooling off after exploring. The water was always spot-on temperature-wise, and those sunset swims? Unreal. It’s super private and peaceful, so it really feels like your own little slice of paradise. Honestly, once you’re in, good luck getting out—it’s that good.
The location of Villa Kelapa is hard to beat—perched on Bophut Hill but just a quick drive from the lively Fisherman’s Village. With your own car, you’re literally minutes from the action: cozy cafes, boutique shops, beachfront bars, and that famous Friday night walking street market (where the whole village turns into a buzzing open-air bazaar)
We loved being tucked away in a quiet, private spot yet only about a 5–10-minute drive from great restaurants and nightlife. Car access gave us total freedom—to hit the night market on a whim, stroll along Bophut Beach, or even visit Big Buddha temple nearby. It was the perfect balance: peaceful villa vibes with all the best local hotspots just a short drive away.
Our stay at Villa Kelapa was honestly everything we hoped for—and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the space, the views, and the total sense of calm that came with being tucked away in the hills above Bophut. The villa itself is stunning: super spacious, beautifully styled, and so well equipped. The beds were insanely comfy, the air con was a lifesaver, and the open-plan indoor-outdoor living setup made it feel like we were truly living the island dream.
The pool was our favourite spot—perfectly warm, with views that made every dip feel special. And even though we felt totally secluded, we loved how easy it was to drive down to Fisherman’s Village for dinner, shopping, or a beach stroll.
If you’re looking for a luxe, peaceful escape that still gives you easy access to all the best bits of Koh Samui—this is it. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
