The Villa:
Our stay at the Mayan Farm Luxury Villa was nothing short of extraordinary. The villa itself is huge, offering an abundance of space that allowed us to truly relax and spread out. Every inch of the property is thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated, with an eye for detail that made our stay feel luxurious yet comfortable. The views from the villa are nothing short of spectacular, with sweeping vistas of the countryside that seem to stretch on forever.
The bedding in each room was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights after our days of exploration. The art pieces scattered throughout the villa added a sophisticated touch, enhancing the overall ambiance. One of the standout features was the vast amount of outdoor entertaining space. We loved spending time in the heated plunge pool, and the outdoor bathroom attached to one of the wings added a unique touch of luxury.
Each wing of the villa comes with its own bathroom, which provided a great level of privacy and convenience. In addition to the wings, the main villa area includes an extra bedroom, which was perfect for accommodating our group. The kitchen was another highlight – it’s truly a dream for anyone who loves to entertain. With a butler’s pantry and state-of-the-art appliances, we found ourselves in awe of the setup.
For those moments of pure relaxation, the hammocks and a stunning swing were perfect, offering the chance to soak in the beautiful surroundings in a truly serene environment. The combination of indoor luxury and outdoor splendor made the villa an unforgettable retreat.
The Food:
One of the most incredible aspects of our stay at Mayan Farm Luxury Villa was the food, and it’s all thanks to Jodie, one of the owners who is also a phenomenal chef. A unique offering of this villa is the option for cooked-in meals, where you don’t have to lift a finger – everything is prepared and served to you with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Jodie prepared the most amazing meal for us, starting with an exquisite charcuterie board that featured local produce. We enjoyed this outdoors with some cocktails, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The main course was a feast for the senses, with the best crispy pork belly we’ve ever had, an unbelievably good chicken in Thai green curry sauce, two phenomenal salads, and a roasted vegetable dish that was out of this world. Dessert was a passionfruit cheesecake served in wine glasses, and it was nothing short of divine.
To top it all off, the entire meal was cleaned up for us, allowing us to simply enjoy the experience without any of the hassle. On our first night, we indulged in gourmet pizzas cooked in the villa’s pizza oven – another offering that can be arranged for you, along with breakfast hampers and more. This food was by far some of the best we’ve ever had in an accommodation experience.
