We stayed in the Kudu Tent, which was easily one of the most incredible places we’ve ever stayed. Beautifully designed and incredibly spacious, it offered uninterrupted views across the lake and surrounding bush, making it feel like nature was right on our doorstep. After early morning game drives, there was nothing better than returning to soak in our private outdoor hot tub while watching wildlife wander past and the sun slowly set over the landscape.
The food was exceptional throughout our stay, with every meal beautifully prepared and showcasing fresh, local flavours. Just as memorable was the team at Hippo Lakes, whose warmth, attention to detail and genuine hospitality made every moment feel effortless.
